Did you lose an item?

Report lost items immediately to the circulation desk of the owning library. Replacement charges vary by materials publishing age, but typically include a replacement fine.

(1) For books published in 1965 (inclusive) and before, 10 times of the fixed price shall be compensated;

(2) For books published from 1966 to 1985 (inclusive), compensation shall be made at 5 times of the fixed price;

(3) For books published from 1986 to 1999 (inclusive), compensation shall be made at 3 times of the fixed price;

(4) For books published after 2000 (inclusive), compensation shall be made at twice the fixed price;

Replacing an item, yourself

BTBU Libraries may accept an exact replacement of a lost item. Library staff will determine whether or not to accept a replacement item. Replacement items must have the same ISBN as the lost item, have the same format or binding, and be in an unused condition. Replacement copies should be brought to the circulation desk of the owning library. There will be NO replacement charges.

BTBU library does not charge fines for the late return of a regular loan item.
